Before you begin
Happy Birthday,
We built you a little world — every detail placed with the same care you give to everyone you love. For today, and always: you are the muse this was named for.
With all our love,
Raghav & Aastha
Where details tell stories.
Begin Your StoryOur Philosophy
We believe the truest celebrations are not produced — they are composed. The handwritten place card. The song that played in a kitchen in 2014. The colour of a grandmother's sari, returned as a thread of light across a banquet table. We design a small number of celebrations each year, so that every one of them can carry the weight of a story told properly.
“The grandest gesture in any room is the one only two people understand.”
Signature Celebrations
One question, four hundred candles, and a lake that kept the secret until sunset.
They met in the rain. So we let it rain — and built the evening around the sound of it.
A haveli courtyard, ten thousand marigolds, and henna drying in the afternoon light.
Their 1974 wedding menu, recreated course by course, for forty of their oldest friends.
A hillside orchard strung with lanterns, and a dance floor under the deodars.
Jazz, oxblood velvet, and a rooftop that didn't empty until the city went quiet.
What We Craft
From the first haldi to the last vidaai — complete celebrations composed over days, designed around the two of you.
One perfect moment, planned to the minute and kept beautifully secret until it isn't.
Anniversaries, homecomings, baby welcomes — small rooms, deep meaning, every detail accounted for.
Milestone evenings that feel like the person they honour — never a template, never a theme off a shelf.
Palaces, coastlines, hill stations. We travel with the story and bring our entire atelier with us.
Spatial design, florals, tablescapes, light. The visual language of your celebration, drawn by hand first.
The Experience
We begin with conversation, not contracts. Long teas, old photographs, the way you met. We listen for the details you don't realise are details yet.
Your story becomes a design language — palettes, textures, spaces, sound. Presented to you not as options, but as a world.
Months of quiet, obsessive craft. Menus tasted, linens pressed, light rehearsed at the exact hour of the event. Nothing is left to the day.
You are a guest at your own celebration. We hold everything else — invisibly, completely — so all you carry is the moment.
The Studio
Merakhi is borrowed from meraki — to do something with so much soul that you leave a piece of yourself in it. The Muse is you. We are a small design house that believes celebrations are the most personal architecture there is: built once, inhabited for a night, remembered for a lifetime.
We take on a limited number of celebrations each year. Not because we are precious about it, but because the details we care about — the ones that make a guest stop mid-sentence — cannot be done at volume.
“We don't decorate events. We furnish memories.”
Words From Our Couples
“They found my mother's wedding bangles a place in the décor without telling me. I saw them at the entrance and wept before a single guest arrived.”
— Aastha, Udaipur
“It rained on our wedding day, exactly as we feared. It turned out to be the most beautiful thing that happened — because they had planned for the rain like it was a guest of honour.”
— Zara & Vikram, Goa
“Fifty years of marriage, and my father said the dinner felt like 1974 again. I don't know how they did that. I'm not sure I want to.”
— Rohan Mehra, New Delhi

Tell us a little about the celebration you're dreaming of. We read every word ourselves, and we reply personally.
